One of my old professors had a way of expressing himself when he attended lectures where others spoke.

"Mr President, not because I heard what the previous speaker said, but I should ask to be of a totally different meaning."

Switch "heard" to "read", so that's how we seem to behave here at Mavic Pilot.

Seems like most people absolutely have to start their own thread for things already discussed in an existing thread.

How do we handle this problem?

On the forum, build a reference library which lists common issue/problems along with the "final determination" or "best practice" based on the discussion. It would take a lot of work, and then there is the issue of who decides. But it might be quicker than searching and then wading through pages of discussion to find an answer. Just thinking out loud...

You can then see how many people click on your thread, and hopefully even read what you have written.
