Gimbal camera used to be able to rotate backward but now it's locked with the camera facing out, need it to rotate back in so it won't rub against the camera protection strap when packing the drone.
When we received the drone it was free movement. I also noticed it was free for a couple of days. Now it's tight locked. How do you store your camera when strap down? Do you have the lens facing out? Thankyou so much@Frylikebird i believe that once the drone is powered down ,unlike other drones where the gimbal goes floppy and the camera can be moved ,on the Mavic 3 the gimbal actually locks the camera in place, so that it doesn't swing about in transit ,the soft cover that goes over the camera gimbal assembly does not physically restrain the camera like the hard plastic type do
thanks for supplying that information i knew i had seen it somewhere in the specs, about the camera locking in positionI have a Mavic 3. When powered off, the gimbal has always locked with the camera facing forward.
No impact or crash or bump. Here's what I've found out after doing an indoor aperture test and learning the app and after several battery swappings and turning it on and off. If the remote is shut off first then the camera becomes free. If the drone is off first then the camera locks facing forward. I remember when unboxing the drone for the first time the camera was facing backward with neck foam attached which does make alot of since to protect the lens from scratching. I wish the normal stowaway position would be facing back in. But the camera still shakes abnormal when powering off. We sent an email to DJI and we're waiting for a replyI have a Mavic 3. When powered off, the gimbal has always locked with the camera facing forward.
