Brand new to drones here. I just received my Mavic Air 2 today and already hooked. Looking forward to learning more. Im also studying for my 107 test.

Be sure to read the manual! Be sure you practice lost drone recovery. Chances are you’ll crash, and perhaps lose your MA2). Just be sure you know how to retrieve it!

Thanks! Actually I just crashed yesterday into a tree and on to grass from about 25ft. I was in POI mode orbiting a flag display and thought I was clear of the tree and wasn't. Fairly gentle fall.

The drone had some grass stains and the props were bent, but I switched them out and did a check flight and all seems well. I recalibrated the compass and IMU, checked the Gimbal and all flight controls and Avoidance sensors.
Anything else I should check?

I was just around there two weekends ago. Took a nice Sunday flight to Gettysburg and then came back.
