I started with the Tello and then purchased a JJRC X5 Epik then decided it was time for a Mavic Mini 1 and very recently purchased a Mavic Air 2 - all these were purchased , sort of covertly - the wife of 59 years is still not sure how they came to be and hopefully it stays that way. Still love her to bits and did not endanger our finances in any way.

So you buy it, stick it in a closet somewhere for a month or so, then when you get it out and she asks, you just tell her "oh I've had this for a while"
