Has anybody ordered the Mavic 4 from Ebay? Shipped from Korea.

Is it possible Luke has a china connection who is breaking down the packages, bulk shipping the seperate complements like batteries, carry bags, remotes, pre-activated (used) drones, etc. to him here in the states. They would also break down and ship the empty original boxes, which then get reconstituted here, and matched to the correct s/n drone, add in the various components, and voila! New/used packages with a nice profit margin to cover the “assembly” costs.
Kind of like stripping a car on the street, and then buying the remaining empty carcass at the wholesale salvage auction, when the insurance company auctions it off, and then reassembling everything, and selling it under a salvage title! Clever!

Is there no difference in the DJI Care Refresh price for the Creator Combo version, with the much larger 512GB SSD, instead of the 64GB SSD?
Apparently not; at least no difference that I can find. M3P Cine was different.

I wonder if it is higher or lower because they are both the same price? Probably lower because Mavic 3 Pro prices are slightly higher.

If there is no difference in the Care Refresh price, the regular 64GB buyers are clearly subsidizing the 512GB versions!

I also suspect the 512GB owners file less claims because they are less reckless and have more to lose, if the drone is used for content creation for a business, instead of a mere hobbyist flying for fun.

Prices have definitely started to rise on the more recent listings; however, I still see a few units being sold at the original pricing with free shipping. I guess the question is going to be whether there are now additional fees being charged to the eBay buyer when receiving their drone from the Japan or Korean shipper. I’ve heard of only one instant where someone bought a drone from Japan and received the fee notification from the carrier.
My last Korean seller, With_USA_Store is now charging $820 more for the Creator Combo than I paid them, and the buyer is responsible for all tariffs on top of that, which, officially are 55% because of China being the country of origin (where it was manufactured, not where it is being shipped to you from)!

Too early to tell. No such shipments have been received yet.
It will completely depend upon how each seller chooses to deal with the new changes. Officially, a 55% tariff should apply because of being manufactured in China.

Stay tuned.

Yes I'm in that wait and see mode as well. Looking to get the M4P OEM filters next and then maybe one more battery. I think there is a still a $100 cutoff for anything under that if it's a gift is the new so-called de-minimus if the country will ship it but many will not because they are "confused" as are we.

I do not need it now but I wanted one more battery, so I guess I will wait and see. Adorama keeps pushing back the possible arrival date for one from October to November

Wow, your trusted Korean sellers, K-wave and dw-store (same store), are having a 15% off sale on eBay for the M4P drones thru 9/3.

Shipping from Korea is still free but tariffs and fees are likely.

For these particular drones, I don't see the FCC/CE disclaimer language in the description.

I purchased from K-Wave at the end of July. Then and now, there is no language in their description that mentions that the M4P will only operate in CE mode.

That was only "WITH_US_STORE" and oddly, they still haven’t removed it, even though we, presumably, know better.
  • Max Transmission Distance (unobstructed, free of interference) : FCC: 30 km, CE: 15 km, SRRC: 15 km, MIC: 15 km
  • => Even through the product description lists both FCC (up to 30KM) and CE (up to 15KM) range capabilities, please note that units officially sold in Korea are configured to operate in CE environments only.
  • As such, the maximum transmission range is up to 15KM, not 30KM.

Ebay has highlighted and elevated the tariff message to a blue bar at the top of the listing on all applicable products from where it used to be buried somewhere below.

Yes, and it completely relieves the seller from any responsibility for knowing or disclosing the amount of the tariffs that will be due by you, after you pay for your order with them, and eBay's Money Back Guarantee is null and void if you refuse to pay the tariffs upon delivery, no matter how large the amount.

Like buying a pig in a poke much? LOL!

Happy Friday! Please welcome our friends from Japan and UPS to the world of DJI Mavic 4 Pro drone shipped from Asia to the US. Formerly dominated by South Korea and FedEx there seems to be a recent surge ahead of the end of the month uncertainty and the possible change in pricing (which is still relatively cheap). We are happy to have additional suppliers and carriers join the team matching American customers with DJI flagship drones; we appreciate the partnership. :)

Just in time for the weekend, I continue to receive "exclusive photos" from folks in Anchorage airport and here's the latest shipments of drone bound for the states. As you can see the cargo is "appropriately labeled" for easy passage and the customs agents are "specialized" to work with this specific cargo and help "speed it along" nicely. 😊

Now is the time to place your order and let's hope the Mini 5 Pro gravy train continues. I had a bunch of images but these are my top 6 captured during the week, credit to my AI friends. Here are your drones on the way! ;)

seems few are sharing the names/contacts or experiences with either Korean or Japanese suppliers for an order and if there were any add'l charges on entry to usa. could u divulge any of that info please? I've heard mention the Korean Ebay retailer WithUS.....

And you can't call someone on eBay to help you like before. I got 2 from S. Korea that said Tariff free so wouldn't this change this to having the seller responsible? I have used eBay since 1999, selling and buying hundreds of items.

I bought 3 drones (Air3S, Avata 2 and M4P) from WITH_US_STORE from eBay, one of them came in faulty, seller handled return and replacement completely free of charge from my side. I do see he started charging $200 for shipping (I paid less when I purchased mines) assuming to cover tariffs fees, not sure what is the current situation, but I would still recommend them if you decide to buy any DJI drone product from overseas.

just seeing your reply... I see he went up with shipping to $400, I definitely paid less when I bought mine. I assume he must have been caught for entering misleading information on packaging, like mine was listed as a cordless drill valued at $120, I guess those times are over...

I believe we have a couple of bigger threads in this forum that point out all the benefits of ordering your drones from South Korea along with the off-the-record recommended sellers who are both reliable and truthful when it comes to paying tariffs. I'll see if I can dig up those threads.
