Hello all,
My name's Neil, known to friends as nobby, and I joined these forums because the posts here have helped me to choose which Mavic to buy. My M2 Pro arrives on Wednesday, as my Christmas pressie to me... Thanks to everyone here for helping with that!
I live on the Isle of Wight with my wife Pauline and cat Hobbes, my background is in art, illustration and photography and my day job (for approaching 30 years now) is designing/making videogames.
I've come up through the "quadcopter enthusiast" route over the past 4-5 years, with the main aim of launching a stills camera into the sky - landscape photography being my main interest.
I began by mounting various cameras on various home-made quads, played with building smaller models, and finally moved to the Phantom 3 Advanced when the thrills and spills of home built machines started making the whole DIY thing a bit too exciting and I re-focused on what I want a drone to be - as reliable and fool-proof as possible, with great picture (and occasional video) taking abilities.
I look forward to continuing to gain more wisdom about this latest gen DJI marvel through first hand experience and continuing to read the collected wisdom on these forums.
