Hi from Perth

One question is where to find a good source of royalty free music as I use Final Cut Pro and I'd like to put clips to music rather than the limited 'jingles' I find in FCP.
I have a friend In Adelaide and he hooked me up with "AI Music" here is a previous posting I made…

If you want to talk to Gordon directly, contact him through his YouTube channel. You can tell him that I (LoudThunder) referred you…

PS: I do not get a "bird-dog fee" and Gordon's channel is not monetized, he does it for fun…

Here are two videos that I just created recently using the AI Music and if you do not want a song but just the music, it will do that too…

Well I'm enjoying both my drones. I have had a busy week but not with drones. Today I decided to do panoramas using the Mini 4K to start with. It didn't go as planned. I had trouble working out how to exit from the screen and I was using the controller and iPhone 16 Pro Max. I didn't even know that there was such a thing as a spherical panorama.

DJI are just so good to deal with when you have a problem or need help.

The short story is it worked out fine and I took some nice shots down our park. I spent much more time on the computer than flying the drone but that is fine as it is a learning curve.

The park where I took the pano is about 600m I think from home. I launched the drone in my driveway.

Now that you have discovered the 360° Photosphere or as DJI calls them, a "Globe", now you need to figure what to do with them… You can load the "Go Pro VR Player" on your PC and see what they really look like, it's amazing…

I publish mine on Google maps and Google Earth for all the world to see…
Here is one I shot yesterday and Published this morning… Once they are on the Map, you can scroll all around and even zoom in...

and here is one I shot a week or so ago…

and Here is a video I made of that flight…

Now go forth and discover all the wonderful things there are to do…

Below is the link to all of the downloads offered by DJI for the Mini 4 Pro, including the User Manual.

After you read the Manual, read it again, you will be surprised what you missed the first time and you will be better prepared for that first "scary moment…"

I started a few weeks back with a DJI Mini 4K...

I now have the Mavic 4 Pro. I am self-employed and have an I.T. Business so some aspects have been very easy for me but I still have a lot to learn about the Mavic, Drones and production using Final Cut Pro.

I was going to get either the Air 3S or this but the Mavic camera and power was just a bit too tempting. I got it this week and have already done a number of flights. It is magic.

I have a PPL from years ago and flew gliders and I also love photography and have a Canon 5D3 on my desk at the moment. I must admit the iPhone is so easy to use though and is the camera you have in your pocket. The iPhone doesn't have wings and neither does the Canon but the Mavic does...I can see advantages.

Perth is a very windy city and the Mini 4K when you fly it...all too often you get wind alerts. I know it is still safe to fly by going into wind and then flying home downwind but I definitely want something with more speed and power from a practical point of view.

The Mini 4K is very impressive although the other issue was connection stability and range which is somewhat limiting although the range is still very useful.

Now my Mavic learning begins!
Perth! I'm jealous. What a beautiful and picturesque city. I've done remote work with a chap in Harrisdale, WA. Someday, I hope to visit your lovely continent.

Hi LT,

Yes, this AI can be highly useful for video and audio/music. I'm using Final Cut Pro for editing...but I see Adobe Premier Pro does a lot more with AI but it is expensive but...it may be worth it. The problem is I'm just up and staggering on Final Cut Pro. I'm interested in what you have to say here.

I think it is the way to go...make use of every new technology.

Cheers,
Grant

Hi Mavy3,

It is a lovely place. I 'grew up' in New England in the USA 5 - 14 years old before moving back to NZ then to Australia.

Perth is nice and well run sort of city. Quite big 2.3 million people and we live in Woodvale. I'm just trying to upload to google maps a picture of Chichester Park, one of the local parks. I will have to post a few videos. I have been enjoying the drones I have.

Being on the west coast...some sunset videos and shots will be in order soon. We also have Hillarys Boat Harbour nearby, a marina shopping centre and I can see that getting the drone treatment soon.

At this point, I have very little else to add. You are apparently far more advanced and knowledgeable than I am. I only use the Free accounts on "AI Music" and "Suno - AI Music"… I am still amazed at what "AI" on Google will do… I also use the "CapCut" Video Editor for "Text to Speech" but the free account on all three of these platforms will only let you listen to it. If you want to download the file, you need the subscription…

But there is always a work around… I create the file, and then I fire up the "Audacity" App and I record the audio right off the sound card so no fidelity is lost. (Available FREE in the Microsoft Store…).

Since my needs are simple and I only do this for fun, these seem to fill the bill for me at this time.

But I am not against the idea of sharing this with all that have an interest as you do. Several of my friends are already re-editing their videos to remove the simple Free Audio off such platforms as "YouTube Music"…

Good luck and please share all your discoveries…

What are thoughts on ND filters for the Mavic Pro 4? I guess the safe thing would be to pay up and buy them from DJI. I use just one Daylight neutral filter on most of my lenses for my DSLR and that is as much to protect the lens as anything else. It seems ND filters are useful for hyperlapse and being able to increase shutter times mainly but it would also protect the lens I guess too.
