How far away can you lift off your Mavic?

Let's say you needed or decided to land your Mavic away from you, what would be the furthest distance you can be away from the Mavic to still allow for another take off?

I have seen a test on youtube that landed the Mavic on a roof top 4 kilometres away and then took off again.

This is a very odd question. The Mavic, like any other RC quadcopter, takes off after instructing it to do so using the remote controller. If the signal from the remote controller can reach it, it will take off.. whether it's 2 metres away, or 100km away.

It should be mentioned that LoS greatly effects your connection to the Mavic and landing will usually put you out of LoS if you're very far away. You may lose contact while/after landing and not be able to takeoff again.

You planning to do something illegal?? Like leaving your mavic in a voyeuristic vantage point and then taking off the moment you get caught?? Because that's something I would do =)

You'll be able to take off again as long as the remote controller is still connected to the Mavic.

LOS is the delineating factor.
