I've had my Mavic Air for some 6 months now and it's still on the ground - I have a nexus 7 which worked well with my Spark but just a bit concerned that the more recent Dji software updates might cause problems

The M3 and its close relative the M5 are superb tablets for flying with the DJI Go 4 app.
Which drone you fly doesn't matter, it's the app that does.
Both of those tablets are outstanding.

Many thanks for that. It sometimes worries me when I read comments from Dji who tell us about those phones / tablets that are not 'approved' for use.

DJI test very few phones or tablets and hardly ever update their list.
