I fly over crowds so who am I to judge

I'm not sure that a drone can cut the fabric of a balloon.
But even it could, balloon can land smoothly and safely.

I would feel fine, things to worry about are ON the balloon, not drones.

Even hot air ballooning is a safe sport, there are deadly accidents happened. I don't have time now to check NTSB, but I remember an accident in Texas (maybe not) where many people were killed, and was in news here in Europe.

Surely large scale violation like this is the type of thing Aeroscope should be deployed for - to ID, catch and prosecute.

It also proves this is why we cant have nice things. The drone community as a whole is too immature to self police.

Funny as soon as I read the title to the thread, I said this is why we can't have nice things!

Those idiots from Intel, flew thousands of drones over crowds during Olympics?
They destroyed our hobby!

Hope they flew in VLOS at least!
