Air 2 I am debating getting this shot framed...

It's trees during a rain storm, but honest question of what you guys think... it's simple but not... I find sometimes as drone/photo enthusiasts we can over love some things that others skim over very easily when we were there and took the shot ourselves....
If you like it, print it. Wall prints are relatively cheap these say - an 11 x 14 can be like $15 depending on material. I like the "sublimation" metal look myself, but those are a bit more expensive.

The shot looks fantastic! If you have the means and space, definitely frame it!

They did one other print for me earlier this year and have a wide variety of mediums, sizes and prices. If you upload a pic you want to look into with the link above you can see a break down of them all in one screen.
Thank you for the lead. I do a lot of photography and they seem to have a very good product. I will give them a try.

Those look great! I have several of my drone photos hanging around my house. They are great conversation pieces. Besides, to me it's all "eye of the beholder." As long as you like it, it's all good!

A couple of my favorites aren't even my best shots. They are near and dear to me because of what I went through to get them.

I am curious about the wetsuit. I can look that up, but like another commenter asked, how did you keep the lens dry?

Honest critique: they say “beauty is in the eye of the beholder.” And these images have caught people’s eyes. Why? Because they break some or a lot of traditional “rules” of photography but they ( to me the single tree cropped as a square and is on the left as I see this page is my preferred image but just slightly) do what we as photographers always try for and that is, they keep the viewers attention. Your images draw the eye where a leading lime would but there isn’t one. The juxtaposition of the rain falling in One Direction against canopy of trees that are growing in multiple other directions, your eye isn’t “led” it’s left to explore and understand what we are looking at. THAT my friend, I’m the words of the great philosopher Snoop Dogg, is “Tha Shiznit.” Best regards.

So how did you keep the lens dry for this shot? It appears to be a downpour. Seems impossible to have a dry lens. Did this take a few tries?
I went up about 3 times looking for lightning (kept being on the other side of the drone) if your facing rain and looking up the lense does get wet, with a few drops you can use the auto tilt up and down to flick it off but it is not always perfect. I landed it a few times to clean the lense and let some of the heaviest rain pass... the shot in focus of this thread is actually in the process of me landing but the lense cleared and I snapped this shot on a whim as I love the look of falling rain( I was primarily doing video before). Luck, right place and quick reflexes lol

Thanks for the kind comments

Also, drone is good and got pretty wet :) would not so this near the sea though lol

Outstanding photo! Excellent capture of rain, color saturation, and detail in foliage. Can you share your M2A camera settings... Did rain & low light slow shutter enough or were you using an ND filter? What tools did you use for post-work… are the greens & sharpening increased? The metal increases saturation too correct? Have you experimented with glass prints too, I’ve had some good results on glass for bright days… need to slightly over brighten with glass.

The rainsuit protects electronics, does it protect lens too? Is there a small hood over top of gimbal area? I’d think in that heavy of rain, the lens would get wet causing a little distortion. New to rainsuit, do you only use on rain flights… I was considering overheating.

@MAvic_South_Oz I’d agree, Enlarging can create fuzzy, pixilated or noise if enlarged with LR/PS enlarging technique. PS‘s new Super Resolution doesn’t even compare to Topaz GigaPixel Ai, or ON1 Resize. Have you tried Topaz GigaPixel for extreme enlargements… details are often improved. ON1 Resize is about the same, but not quite as good In detail… better in other ways.
I’ve taken a small photo (4x6 if memory correct) and scaled it up to 13x17 with greater detail on older Giga version and it continues to improve.

That shot would also look great in a worked B&W… edging on the silver, high contrast. Metal would really pop a B&W.

Glass is big here for kitchen splashbacks, the panels above kitchen benchtops for easy cleaning (typically where tiles or stainless steel etc is used).
They are usually sprayed with a 2K colour paint, with a glass additive hardener to enable adhesion, but many now print onto glass their favourite landscape photos, it's still quite specialised and unique too.

The need to brighten was probably due to using normal 'float glass', which has a fairly high iron content, tends to tint things with a green hue.
Spraying a pure white onto 6mm float glass will give a colour that has a quite green look.

If trying this again ask if low iron or waterwhite glass is available, it should be.
This gives a truer colour rendition, especially if you can find a true waterwhite, looking at the edges it is almost clear vs the dark green hue on normal float glass.

I've used Fracture for glass prints.
Not sure how they produced, but I do recall them using a white base if memory correct. Thanks for the info... helpful. The hues were pretty accurate overall: blue skies, white clouds, gold domes on building, & grass.

Had a large pano 21x28 that turned out great after 2 reworks. They weren't egar to redo, but obtained good results.

Thanks for sharing that . . . Very cool process UV dried inks and all.
Looks like they use thin glass (perhaps 3mm / 1/8" ?), which will greatly reduce that body tint coming through, if starting with low iron glass there'd be very little colour shift.

I followed your link to the company that printed them. I like the pics you printed. In the past I hav eused "Picture it on Canvas" and they do a great job as well. I've had prints on canvas and metal and had great results. I think, though, pricewise, I am going to try the company you used for your prints. Great shots!
