I have an idea...

No experienced Litchi user, but what is programmed on a mission (on Litchi)? Drone position/direction/altitude, camera tilt, exposure, white balance and shutterspeed? And is the feed smooth, tried out the Way-point mode on the DJI GO app and it was really "choppy". Thanks for the tips but I really don´t trust any autonomy/software piloting.

Yes

You should need to adjust this for each mission because the lighting on your subject will change throughout the seasons.

With the Mavic, a "choppy" looking video is usually caused by a fast shutter speed. Use ND filters to slow it down. You want the shutter speed to be approximately double the fps, so for 30fps (as an example) you'd want 1/60 shutter speed.

You are right to not trust it, especially the first time you fly it. Make sure you are not flying close to any obstruction as GPS positioning could be a few feet off from one mission to the next. Watch it closely and have your finger poised over the pause button to stop if needed.

Awesome info! Must have a Litchi-training day before I try any of this, but it sounds awesome. Thank you!

Thanks for posting your first flight. There is an awesome tool that a member here created that allows one to "pre-fly" thier Lichti Mission via Google Earth Pro.

Essentially one exports thier Lichti Mission as a .kml file into a "watched" folder and the program then opens Google Earth Pro with the Mission Loaded. Then one can play the mission and see how the actual flight will look within Google Earth.

Virtual Litchi Mission

Bear in mind Google Earth Pro does not do a perfect job with tree elevations and even if it looks like you will clear tree's withing Google Earth Pro. Dont trust it! I created a mission that looked like it would clear all the tree's within Google Earth when I preflew it. Then during the actual mission flight I pointed the camera forward and noted the Mavic would have flown directly into a tree. Stopped the Mission and replanned it to be about 20 feet higher so it would clear the tree(s).

Also , be gentle in the forum post if you have criticisms for the Virtual Lichti Mission as this tool was created at no cost and by a person that did this for the forum members to use.

Also if you want to fly perfectly straight lines during your missions you can input Longitude or Latitude directly. Here is a video I put together that illustrates what I mean.
