I know this has probably been beat to death...

this has been done to death. it's not a matter of a simple cable. the voltage is incorrect. the required DC to DC converter would cost as much as just buying the required AC power supply, which is no more cost than it would be if it was included with the CS from the factory anyway.
Being new to all things DJI, I did not know the charging requirements for the Air are different from the 2.
 
no problem. it's a shame, but one of the changes to the M2 was the move to 4S batteries, the MP and Air used 3S.

what's irritating is that the CS batteries themselves are only 2S, so there's no need for the CS charging dock to have such a high input voltage requirement.
 
I bought it. 5.5. Then bought a used phantom charger on eBay for $20
Made my own mount.
Figured the sun is almost always shining here in Florida so this should do the trick.
It was like having a beautiful totally restored classic GTO with a smashed windshield. Now that windshield is brand new and I can see!!
