Just in case anyone is reading this old thread, the DJI policy on binding has changed: Notice to all Pilots that plan on buying a Used DJI Drone…
In the states in dealing with similar issues, my drones previous owner passed away, I've called and written DJI unfortunately no help, great people they are just sticking to their policy, they even contacted him and obviously no reply, because he's dead. Anyway, on the email for him on my mini 2;se email only shows billb***@gmail.comThe Profile in the DJI Fly App on both of my devices (I use two different tablets…) does show the full Email Address and obviously that member's relative's App did also… @Yorkshire_Pud, you are a long time member and I would have guessed that you would have looked at your profile and I would guess that the way the DJI Fly App displays this information is the same in the UK.
Please check and I ask others who fly the DJI Drones, both the Mini Series (under 250 gm) and the Mavic Series (over 250 gm), in the US and Elsewhere, to check and report in if their Profile also displays the full Email address.

Bound Drone
My brother bought a used DJI Mine se. It is bound to the previous account with no way to contact the original owner. It will only fly out to about 40 meters and then hits a geofence. DJI says it is because it is bound to the previous account. Will Litchi overcome this limitation.? I know the...dronepilots.community

Did you know the previous owner and maybe a family member who might know the password to the gmail account? This is a common complaint, I see it posted quite often, nothing much you can do other than ask and lately, DJI will not comply with a request due to deceased previous owner, sorry about that.
