Does anyone know how long the mavic will last as far as a motor going out etc

Assuming you don't crash or damage your Mavic, the motors will likely far outlast your interest for the drone. Motors are not a common replacement item.

They are pretty cheap to replace anyway.

I think they could easily last 10 years. If you're really into flying drones though, you likely won't be flying the Mavic 2 in 10 years since the current drone that'll be out then will likely be far better.
