I crashed and needed to replace my Mini 2 top cover. I removed it (not for the faint of heart) and searched online for a replacement. DJI "after sales" did not have any (every rep I spoke with asked if I was in America . . .) They recommended a third party partner, "Camrise" and I ordered one from them. Camrise links shift over to djinyc. All sources I found claim their top cover replacement is "compatible" with my Mini 2 (Amazon for example). However, none of the sites show a black square in the nose (looks like tape but doesn't appear to be) and the two foil rectangles. (see photo). The black square has a small upright tab that appears to touch the thicker black rectangle in the body when the top cover is closed.

What are these and what is their purpose?
If they are absent, what is the impact on flying?

I found this from this article...

The Copper tape is EMI shielding tape and is there for the antenna.
The Black Tape has a mesh that contacts the outside of the body and helps the VTX with transmission. (antenna also)
Its a part you need when you replace the part that DJI neglects to say much about BUT you need it. its called EMI or Faraday tape. Available at electronics stores near you..
