I am interested as well.

Here's another viewpoint (not me, not my video):

I have their Ace Pro 2 camera which is a joy to have, hope their AntiGravity Drone has the same love they put into their Cameras.

Thanks for sharing, this'll be fun to watch what happens next that's for sure.

DJI's new Osmo 360 camera with a 1” sensor will likely kill Insta360 X5 sales.
The prerelease video of the comparison, sponsored by DJI, is intriguing!

But, but does it fly ?

It was reported (here) that the packaging for the Osmo 360 states that it's equivalent to a 1" sensor. Are they simulating a 1" sensor or are they doing something else?

While it won't kill Insta 360 X5 or the upcoming GoPro Max 2, it's good to have competition. And DJI needs a non-drone product line.

The Osmo 360 seems to be using two 1/1.15in sensors and some people think DJI are calculating the '1in equivalent' by adding the surface area of the two smaller sensors which comes to around the same surface area of a 1in sensor. Which if true is just marketing nonsense since that's meaningless, 360 cameras are mostly using two sensors and you're not going to get the better sensor performance of a larger sensor.

It's disappointing both because I don't like to see misleading product specs (and it's working well since the camera seems to be widely thought of as using 1in sensors) and also when it looked like it was using a 1in sensor, I thought it would be a good upgrade from an Action 4. That way I'd get better single sensor images over the Action 4's smaller 1/1.3in sensor plus the option of 360 photos and videos all while using the same mounts, batteries and charger as the action 4.

Comparison videos shown so far seem mixed on whether it's as good as the Insta 360 X5 or not but definitely agree it's good to have more devices out there and it's a big plus for me (and I assume other DJI camera owners) that is has compatibility with existing accessories. I'm mainly curious to see the software though which from what I've seen of friend's Insta 360 cameras is a real strength of the product, I did have a Garmin Virb 360 camera which didn't have great software and I never did get much I pleased with from it.

Good news more competition for 360 cameras as I was just about to buy one, hopefully brings the prices down...

Also wanted to start FPV and really wanted a 360 fpv, so that is good news as well
