Since I’m new to the world of drones, take it easy on me. Is there any type of yearly insurance you can get for these when you purchased a used one?

Depending on your state, State Farm insures drones annually for about $60 per year.

Welcome to the forum. The search function will be a trusted friend in this forum, because a query of the word insurance returned many similar threads with very similar responses. I actually found this in the Phantom Pilots forum, with a guy from Mississippi staying he was able to get State Farm’s $60 policy. There seems to be stipulation about the need to fly over your own property, but from your intro post to the forum, it appears that shouldn’t be a problem for you.

Get Drone Insurance Now (New Guy)

Being a New Guy and reading the crashing posts, I today got my Drone Insurance from State Farm. Had to go through 3 Agents but found one that was willing to check for me. Total Cost $60.00 year ! Hope this helps !!

I missed this part about the new drone. Did you purchase the DJI Care Refresh plan? If not, call them or try to purchase online if it’s not over 48 hours. If so, call them and they’ll ask you to make a quick video to prove it still flies correctly, and that it hadn’t crashed yet.

i bought it used not new. Well past the 48 hour window. So your saying i can buy the Care refresh plan from them on a used one?

I have flown my drone relatively uneventfully since December. But after reading many posts here, I searched for DJI care refresh and found the attached. So how do I prove it’s fine? #5 I mean. What does one do to get it?
