iPad mini 4 Help

Just got an iPad mini 4 today. Is there a setting that I am missing or a reason why the camera won't refresh as fast as it does with my iPhone 6s? I changed the vide from HD to Normal, and still no change. Any help would be appreciated.

Is the setting still there for hardware vis software decoding, if so select hardware. I use a iPad mini 3 and it works well

Also...make certain you put your home button to the right...the iPad Mini4 has magnets that are in each "longer" side...and they are weakest with the home button on the right and will not affect your calibrations...
