I know tablets, but not either of these models.

I think you will have better overall luck with the iPad mini 4, I own a Shield and it can be hit or miss sometimes with the app crashing.

I use to use a samsung tablet but have now moved to an ipad mini 4, I encountered a lot of glitches with the android DJI app, sometimes it would just crash and close and couldn't reconnect. I have had no such issues with my IOS DJI app. Another issue was that my Andriod device would always want to charge itself once you plugged it into the controller which meant you severely depleted the battery life from the controller, again no such issues with the ipad.
