Ipad time out ?

I've been using my Ipad 9.7 since day one with few issues and great display. During my last two flights, the Ipad times out after a minute and goes to home screen. A problem if you're in a delicate place or there's other traffic. Seems like an Ipad issue, but looking for help.

I'm pretty new at both any Apple product and my Mavic.

Also, please explain the difference between Wi-Fi and GPS flying.

It sounds like the app is crashing rather than "timing out".

What iOS version are you using?

You seem to be describing two completely unrelated features. Can you give us some more details?
