The secure certificate on their website (lets you use https instead of http) seems to have expired months ago. And i've also had problems using their app. It's reported incorrect airspace, and fails to submit LAANC authorizations anymore. I switched over to using kittyhawk - which has no problems submitting, and getting, LAANC authorizations in the same location.

Looks like the domain airmap.io just redirects to airmap.com which does have a current certificate. So they are just probably retiring the airmap.io domain

could be - but pretty sloppy way of doing it. I'd spend the few bucks on getting a cert rather then people getting an error message that's telling people not to trust the connection. Plus, that doesn't explain the issues I've had getting authorizations through their app. Or is it working ok for everyone else?

Actually, if a mod wants to delete this thread, please do. I found an older thread from someone who was getting the same error message. Figured I should just post in that thread, even though it was old, rather then start a new one. The other thread is here: Rejected Upon Submission (Airmap and LAANC)

To answer your post title: no, they aren't going out of business. In fact, I believe they recently launched a revamped version of their web app.

AirMap sucks because it isn’t putting through LAANC nor are they replying to requests for service. Silence is not golden. I don’t bother with them anymore. I like Kittyhawk and it always works.

i agree, lack of communication is always a bad sign. Plus not being able to submit authorizations and that error on their website/domain - i think those are pretty bad signs too. A recent blog post from them said they had lay off some employees due to covid. Hopefully they can hang on, since I liked their app (when it was working) better then kittyhawk.
