Is Corel VideoStudio x10 ultimate a CPU Hog?

Every time I use Corel VideoStudio x10 my cpu goes to 100% usage on a i7-7700, 16gb ram, and gtx1070 graphics card. Everything else is barely being touched, but the CPU is thru the roof. Any ideas or settings that I need to change?

In preferences under the performance tab I clicked on the hardware acceleration buttons. Helped a lot.
