Yes I know that a certain list of compatible tablets contains IPAD MINI 5 BUT is the Australian version of the Ipad Mini 5 compatible as I am aware of some Samsung tablets which have a USA model with is compatible but the Australian model is NOT.

Hopefully some Australian readers who have the Ipad Mini 5 will confirm this.

Yep, no problems at all.

Apple products are all standardised (except maybe sim card frequencies), unlike Samsung which uses different chip sets for different geographies

Thanks Iannes. Might sound like a silly question (I know much about PCs and Android but nil about Ipads) but are ALL current Ipads compatible with the DJI FLY app? It seems only Android tablets with a 64 bit bus are compatible (with app from Google play store).

All current iPads should be on the DJI list for compatibility

Check out this list

With DJI Fly once you have 64 bit compatibility it’s all about having enough CPU processing power. So getting a cheap device with less processing power often does not work out.

Thanks

I just Googled "bench test results' and found the following interesting figures for testing some tablets using MULTI core (not the single core results which are slower) -
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 8" (quad core processor) - 233
Samsung Galaxy Tab A 10.1" (octa core processor) - 444
Ipad Mini 3 - 492 (old model faster than current Samsung)
Ipad Mini 4 - 667
Ipad Mini 5 (latest model) - 1026 WOW!

I think that says it all. I hope others trying to determine what tablet to buy reads this.

No that doesn't say it all so don't give ppl limited info.

The Samsung Tab S4, S5e, S6, and many others have much much higher benchmark scores than the iPad Mini 5.
