I've now done a gimbal calibration - but does anybody know of a utility that can level the horizon in a .mov video file?

Any decent video editor should be able to do that. I know Premiere Pro and LumaFusion (for the iPad) both do.

any good video editor will. HOWEVER, be aware, to "level" the horizon, essentially means that you're rotating the video. So you have to clip the edges down (or zoom in) some otherwise you will have black marks in the opposite corners of where it was rotated.

Thanks guys ... I'm new at video editing, so have started out with VSDC - which is teaching me the basics - but it appears I'll have to graduate to something a bit more capable.
