Remember that you read it here first.....
The JAN 23 date is really code for 1,2,3 and 10AM refers to Version 1.0. as in a new beginning.
There will be three significant events introduced.

1) The main announcement will be of Apple's total purchase and ownership of DJI.

2) Discussions of a future product called Mavic Air that will replace the current Mavic Pro.
I envision a July 2018 release date with enhancement upgrades including speed, avoidance, battery life and camera resolutions.
A Tony Jive design offering fluidic aerodynamic sculpture? That would be really cool!

3) New pricing announcements on existing DJI products.

This announcement would accomplish several key objectives.

Double the worldwide media attention to DJI products immediately after the 2018 CES event.
Exclusively offer all worldwide Apple stores to sell and market high level DJI products such as the Inspire, Phantom, Mavic Air and Spark as white on white finishes. Apple is already making significant headway into the professional services business market. High level drones such as the Inspire would allow Apple to offer another layer of business specific applications to oil and gas industry, farming, commercial real estate, logistics, security, ect.

The consumer market release of the new lower priced Tello would be strictly sold online and at mass retailers such as Best Buy. No more DJI warranty issues if you could simply take your existing DJI drone directly to a local Apple store's Genius bar. Apple iPhone users would be further entrenched into the Apple ecosystem with the sale of the newly released OSMO handheld gimbal accessory; as an Apple White Edition or in standard black finishes.

An immediate price drop announcement of US$300 covering the entire existing Mavic Pro line.
This action would disrupt Yuneec H2 and Autel Evo launches gaining momentum and stall their product introductions. New Mavic sales conquests would increase pressure on the competitive market in the short term while offering a clear upgrade path to current Mavic users.

A further announcement that future products Apple and DJI products would be assembled in USA. This would raise interest in 'Buy America' and further distance comparisons made with Yuneec and Autel Robotics. Tim Cook completes another solid strategic purchase in DJI and stock rates surge yet again for Apple.

OMG, It getting big now

LOL...Very well done:cool:

There maybe be some truth to Apple and Dji
Since they did alpine white for them
They seem to be headed that way

So a mavic that can make phone calls, text and stream Pandora?
Or maybe the Air can connect to cellular towers and signal hop like a cell phone so it has infinite range.
Actually, that's illegal in the United States.

No one said that
But there is a chance of apple and dji
coming together
Like apple and Dr Dre beats line did

So they're focusing on speed and portability? Not camera? Doubt it'll be 4K capable since that would decrease the sale of MP.

Well here is some totally unwarranted speculation...
1. Mavic Air... smaller, faster Mavic Pro with Mavic Pro camera
2. Mavic 2 ...slightly bigger, better Mavic Pro with 1 inch sensor 4k but fixed lens
3. Phantom 5... equipped with 1 inch sensor and interchangeable lens mount

Here it is, leaked on the internet. it's more like option 1

Blurry pics are blurry. Not 100% convinced till Tuesday reveal.

Have a look at the cut away section on the video and you will see it lines up with the mid section of the drone in the photo

Yep maybe. It likely is it, but will know for sure in about 24 hours. Right now that looks to me as filling the gap between Spark and Mavic.

It also doesn’t look anything special from that pic.

I think rumors have it that it is:

1) smaller folded than the Spark
2) has a range of 5km
3) can fly as long a Mavic Pro 25-30 minutes
4) just shy of the mavic top speed

For all of these to be possible drone would need to be smaller and lighter

The motors in the pic, look very much like the Spark motors ans the props look the same.

As a recent Spark/Mavic owner, I’d still buy one of these if it’s that good. :D

I definitely would too, probably sell off the Mavic Pro Thumbswayup

Probably it will replace the spark with the same price point. They already have the Tello as the starting drone. Mavic Air mid range and Mavic Pro platinum.

I don't believe it will replace the spark: What kind of drone is at the 399 usd price than?
