Hello everybody,

is it remotely possible to switch the camera from the MP2 onto the M3 body?

i have both and prefer the 28mm way more than the 24 and was just wondering if this is even possible to do.

Anyway thanks all.

No. So far as I know, they are not compatible

The ribbon cables that connect the camera to the aircraft are different. Doubtful that the connections required could be created by hand unless you have the ability to build ribbon cables with the correct configuration.

Both that and the Litchi compatibility is why I'll be keeping my Mavic 2 for many more years. 4 or 5 years old and still looks and functions like brand new. I have found no reason to change to anything else.
However, I don't think your camera swap would be possible.

thank you ALL for this. and yes, for me I find the 28 is a way better focal length and just gives a more dynamic look I don't know why I thought it would be possible to just take the camera/gimble off and switch it to the other drone, but I did and thank you all. how ever the 3 is a lil better on the battery I'm dealing with swelling now of my old MP2 batteries and it goes down but yeah battery swells. *sigh*

thanks and feel free to close this thread.

I would think you could buy new batteries or have them rebuilt. Maybe not, I haven't checked into it, but you can buy new batteries for ancient laptops and radios.
