Hi, i get that app hanging indefinitely at the screen for dji go app account login. Does anyone have it working? Does it propagate laanc request approval automatically into go4 app when integrated?

Adding your DJI account in Kittyhawk does nothing but allow your flight logs to be imported.

I understood they were supposed to propagate approved requests into go4 app? Otherwise what is the point? Go4 will request otherwise to via its own request process after the takeoff?

Anyway, i cannot even make it to login into my dji account. It hangs and asks to close non responding app.

At this point, you need to use an app that can talk to LAANC in order to legally fly in controlled airspace. And if you need to unlock a DJI GEO zone, you’ll still need to go through DJI to do that. There isn’t currently a single process that can do both things.

Not so sure I understand LAANC completely. If you don't presently have one of the apps for LAANC (and even if you do) can you just go through DJI to get clearance in a GEO zone and then fly. Is LAANC basically just a tracker to let the FAA know where you are and has nothing at all right now to do with being able to fly in a GEO zone? Apparently DJI is still taking care of that?

No. If you want to fly in controlled airspace (Classes B, C, D, or E Surface), you must also get FAA authorization before flying. That can only be done through LAANC when flying as a hobbyist.

Unlocking a DJI GEO zone will only allow your drone to physically fly. It does not make your flight legal though.

That is what I thought but wanted to make sure.

Hopefully DJI will make it a bit easier when they become an approved LAANC provider if they can incorporate LAANC and GEO zones together in one application.

I think that's the plan. Once their apps can confirm FAA authorization for a specific area via LAANC, they could at least allow the aircraft to fly within the authorized area. And if they wanted to take it a step further, they could prevent the aircraft from flying outside of the authorized area (if it's within controlled airspace).
