In a week of camping out along the Easter Sierra these columns are no doubt the strangest thing we saw. Sometimes it is hard to believe what nature can create.

What an awesome opportunity!
I don't want this to come across in any way as negative (I have hours of video to edit someday, then when I post people will rip me apart), but do some searches here and on youtube regarding settings on your joystick control settings, (I'm looking at your join date). There are some very simple ways to soften your controls so the excellent video you are capturing becomes dreamy smooth. I'm 1500 miles from home or I could provide the best links, but there are some excellent resources to take you to the next level, which isn't that far away.
Keep up with the fun!

If you can provide some sources showing how to soften the settings on the sticks that would be great. I did a couple searches and only found info on how to adjust EXP on larger Mavics, but not on the Mini. The Mini does not appear to have an adjustment for expo on the sticks, nothing like that shows up in advanced settings. As a 3D RC pilot I use 40% expo on my planes and something like that would be great to have for the controller sticks on the Mini, especially the Yaw. Thanks for any info you or anyone can provide.

I think you made that opportunity. I've been past Crowley many time's and I didn't see that. Artists show you how to see things..you did that and I liked it a lot.

I don't know a thing about the Mini, does it use the Go 4 app? If I remember from reading about the Mini it's the DJI Fly app. I think that's where I adjusted settings for my Mavic Air. If not I had the controller plugged into my laptop with DJI Assistant(?) Try a google or youtube search for cinematic shots Mavic Mini. I travel for work and can't bring my bird with me, so I can't walk through the steps on my equipment.
Basically you would be setting the joysticks to slow the response time as you initiate a move, (sensitivity), then as you move the joystick further it returns to the normal response speed. On the Air adjusting the gimbal sensitivity provides smoother shots for those of us with less adept thumbs and fingers.
I feel stupid trying to describe this from memory, especially not knowing if the changes are available in your Mini app. DJI is the king of aircraft software, but navigating their website to find specific info can be challenging the way it is organized.
Maybe this link will help you make sense of my jiberish and get you closer to finding out what is possible with the Mini

This guy may or may not be helpful on youtube (I don't know if he's done anything specifically for the Mini)
Jeven Dovey
another one that might be helpful is 51 Drones. I hope this helps.

We’re you using “C” mode when you filmed the video? Very nice scenery, love the formations.??
