I think we’re waiting for DJI again .... 4.3.14 is android version thats current.... heard That 4.3.16 might be out this week... which holds the key to dual controllers ... to tell you the truth it’s all very annoying and confusing !!

Smart Controller and RC both connected and working!

I started a thread in M2Pro section, but it should be in both. I successfully connected and flew with both controllers today.

For anyone having problems with updating like network issues , error codes, stuck at 99% etc download the latest DJI assistant. You have to agree to two more of DJI’s brazen and unashamed intrusion into your privacy. Then restart RC and it will download fine. The app gets updated automatically once all the new updates are in. Note: AC update was released a few days ago but if you are updating all together now, update the AC first. All thru the assistant.

My post probably is more pertinent to SC/AC owners. The SC had a pretty substantive update yesterday towards which everything was building up.

It’s now has a real bootloader and not a DJI app proxy and is more of an android tab now. Rest of it incl 3rd party apps etc have to be assessed now although the DJI release hinted that they won’t have an issue with it.

Sorry to get away from the topic, but does the Smart Controller allow 3rd party apps or side loaded apps??

Yes, BUT....

It does not support the google play store or other google services. So if an app depends on those functions/modules it most likely will not work or not work fully. So, some mapping, weather or wind apps that need location services might be stymied. You can sideload apk files either copying them to the SC via cable or sd-card or you can download them from a site like apkpure
