Interesting, phones have multiple cameras with different focal lengths so maybe M3 will do that as well, at least 2 cameras?

Lighter than having one camera with a zoom lens?

Though that module with 2 cameras as the gimbal looks much larger than the M2P gimbal, which is to be expected if they're going to keep the 1-inch sensor and then add another camera to it.

I hope so having spent all that money on buy one, DJI would be quite rightly accused of ripping their customers off. It would certainly be a mistake on DJI’s behalf to exclude current Smart Control owners.

See the latest picture shows it having 2 cameras. I wonder if that replaces a zoom, maybe a wide angle and narrow angle that you switch between. So it could allow for more effective zoom. And they now say release date is October or November.

More fun speculation..... A few things look less than likely unless there will be a massive sensor single camera version as well:

1: 5.7K camera. Would DJI really let Autel reign as the king with its 6K claims? We all know the 6K Evo 2 isn't really 6K but DJI will likely match or exceed that spec.

2: Fixed Aperture. Unlikely as the Mavic 3 will be used by Professionals as well as hobbyists.

3. Terrible design for changing filters. It would likely require a special filter set that covered both cameras.

4. 1TB of internal storage makes very little sense. Most pro purchasers would prefer removable media for their work. Some internal storage is necessary but this spec is beyond what is needed, even with the bigger file sizes.

That stuff makes me think what has been leaked is just a smoke screen. None of those things are going to drive a price point higher than the Air2S.

I just heard one lense is 7x. Shoots 5.7k. 45 minute flight time. 13 km range with occusync 3.0. LCD on controller. 2 versions, regular and pro. Pro has 1tb built in storage.

To take all your porno movies with you when you travel. Customs will never look there! Actually, if you go on a long trip, and have no computer to off load the files, it could be useful.

I guess in a way that makes sense if it really is marketed towards professionals. I personally wouldn't want to plug my drone into my laptop every time I need to take a video off of it. But I record a few minutes here and there...not 8hrs a day.

I still don't see the point of this thing, if the leaks are true. Maybe I'm ignorant, but I don't see how any of those specs make it worth the price point they are probably going to target.

I'm okay with 16 or 32 GB of RAM built into the drone but I always take a portable hard drive so as soon as I land I transfer all my photos to the portable hard drive and then from there it goes up to the cloud. And I don't want to be plugging my drone every single time to a computer

Great range too. In my urban area I start losing signal at 2,000 feet. I'd be happy with a 8,000 foot range in the city.
Maybe 5 miles in certain areas.
I don't really care that much about the price.
