Legal flight planning

Curious what if any process others go through before a drone flight to confirm it's a legal flight? Particularly when flying in new areas. I find myself researching local, county and state laws before going somewhere new to fly. I suspect I am overly cautious and could have flown at times when I thought it might not be legal. I don't have the part 107 yet but am slowly reviewing materials.

I definitely do a lot of research, particularly if I’m going somewhere that’s not just a stop along the road or whatever…so if it’s some type of scenic area, I make sure I know if it’s National Forest, Wildlife Reserve, etc…and some parks are run by different entities. So here in Virginia, state parks are no drone zones, but the regional and county-run parks are generally fine, so you have to check who actually runs it because that stuff isn’t in B4UFLY. Figuring out airspace issues is probably the easiest part!
