Lightroom says my photos are already imported

Hey Guys,

Wondering if anyone can help me.

I'm using LightRoom (specifically the Creative Cloud version called "Adobe Photoshop Lightroom v2.4.1")

I'm trying to import some photo which I did import already (few weeks back) and it's saying "this photo has already been added"

Thing is I CANNOT find it in my library / catalog any of these photos. Maybe I deleted them (from LR, not my disk)

Is there a way I can create a new album / folder and import it ? Renaming it doesn't seem to work or anything I've tried.

I've looked online but not having luck finding a clear simple description of how I fix it.

When you are in "Import" mode, on the right side is the box checked that says "Don’t Import Suspected Duplicates"?

Find the actual photo on disc, and make sure it is there. Then rename it on disc and try importing it again.
