I'm having trouble with my RC2 controller, which I bought with a DJI Flip. I was using the drone for months with no problem, then one day when I switched everything on, I was told I wasn't logged in. This of course severely restricts your distance and altitude.

I put in my username, ticked the 'accept conditions' box then clicked 'next'. I then got a grey rectangle with the circle 'waiting' symbol, then 'check network' came up. I tried this dozens of times with the same result. It says WiFi is connected with a signal strength of 4. I took everything to two local stores to use their WiFi - same result.

DJI Live Chat advised me to upgrade all firmware (drone and controller) with Assistant 2, which I did. Problem still there. I was then advised to clear the controller's cache, which I did. Still no luck. I gave up with the Live Chat as I'd been on for over an hour and we didn't seem to be getting anywhere.

I've noticed that if I try to connect to the Internet via Profile, I get 'server problem' (or it could be 'server error') then a long code, but as soon as I try to write down the code, the announcement disappears. I read somewhere on the Internet that this code thing indicates that there's a well-known DJI defect at work here, but I can't get any details.

I just can't figure out why everything should work for months, then go wrong like this. I'd appreciate any advice on this.

Are you on a VPN that will cause all kinds of problems.

USE A DIFFERENT browser(firefox) disable your anti virus and or VPN ,sign in to DJI .if you cant sign in (FIX THAT FIRST )
THEN TRY THE CONTROLLER ,if that fails (reset the contoller )
One of my computer students had the same problem but in the end it was operator error (NOT THE HARDWARE OR DJI)

Login directly to your providers device and by pass your insternal switching and router. See if that works it take everything out of the circuit on your side of ISP connetion

I've not been able to come to this board recently due to being busy. I still haven't solved the problem.

IronSky 1 says, "Login directly to your providers device and by pass your insternal switching and router. See if that works it take everything out of the circuit on your side of ISP connection".

I'm sorry to sound a bit thick, but I don't know what 'your provider's device' means.

Since I last posted, I got a screenshot of the error message I keep getting when I try to connect: I'll reproduce it exactly. It reads:

"Server error. Check network connection and try again (Code: 0x1151009fffff)".

I think this might be the key to the problem, but I don't know what it means.

What puzzles me is that I had no problem with the drone and then this problem suddenly appeared without me even doing anything. Any more ideas, anyone? Thanks.

It sounds like your RC2 is failing to get internet access,
I've noticed that if I try to connect to the Internet via Profile,

Not sure what you mean by this, but here are my suggestions apologies if its something you have already tried.

To access Your internet connection swipe down from the top of the screen and press and hold the wifi symbol to enter the wifi settings.

Link the controller to your home wifi using the credentials that you use to add any other device to the wifi

If you still get an error open your phone and search for hot spot, on android its pull down the screen and it should be in there, on ios its personal hotspot in the settings menu, once found connect to the wifi and try again.

If that fails try a controller reset

swipe down on screen tap the small silver cog top right > System < reset options >erase all date (factory reset)

You may have to update the firmware once reset but hold off until you have tried to activate it using the above information
