Hi
My new mav refurb's battery clicks in just fine. but then the rear of the battery lifts up a disturbing ammount.
Enough to warrant duct tape for piece of mind.
Is this a deformity of the battery latch? Or could it be the air frame?

Ive had the opposite of this before where the battery would sit flush, but sometimes hadnt clicked in fully on both sides.

This seems to be the opposite. There is too much play after engagement.
Any help appreicated
Thx

You can try different batteries to see if its a consistent problem. 99 times out of 100, its a deformed battery or a battery with a broken latch on it. If the drone was in a crash, then it could possibly be the middle frame, but it sounds like yours wasnt.

Thanks Thunder. I
Brought on the BaY from a major Seller Starz
Sealed DJI Refurb

It is definitely the latch clearance causing it.

The first pic shows it at rest/flush.
But as you can see in the other two there is 1-2mm play AC is lifted by the battery

No reply from Thunder or Starz, they are off in the NBC drone news thread, no matter.

For anyone who has this problem, It seems to stem from the clearance.
between the rear of the battery and the airframe.

There are also little slots in the battery and on the frame that work to keep it still, so
bulging of the battery could possibly effect these too

AnYwaY:
The problem was fixed for me, by simply adding some Grey Insulation tape to the rear of the MAvic battery compartment.
A few layers did the trick.
This closes the gap/introduces enough stiction that the battery doesn't wobble
