I have the range booster on super patcher and I still lose range at around 600 meters flying over a forest. Does anyone know how to get a better connection.

What version of the firmware are you running, I read super patcher and the jkson FCC mod only support firmware V01.04.0300

Usually 2.4Ghz penetrate much better than 5.8Ghz. All depends.
I will suggest get an antenna like Raptor SR or XR. That make a huge difference.

Do you stand in the forest or in front? If you stand in front then try to raise the altitude of the AC for the AC can reach more distance. The sight between the RC and AC is longer in time.
