loss of signal

Gidaay everyone. I'm from wollongong Australia and great to be on this site. I'm new to the world of drones and
had an Oh Crap moment the other day with my mavic 2 zoom. I went slightly over a hill or crest and had loss of signal. I had to stand on higher ground and hit return to home. Scared the **** out of me. Has anyone else had a similar problem?

Welcome! I am sure most of us that have flown behind an obstacle have experienced this. That is why you check your RTH settings before flying. Of course, that is also why you maintain VLOS but it is sometimes hard to do.

Yep, this is definitely a common pilot error. Make sure you keep the path clear between the remote controller and drone.
