These look really nice. Quad strobe with adjustable, multiple light modes and red and green filters. Has a more finished look than the Arc II quads. Now to see how bright it is. :p Mine's in the mail - will update this thread when I get it.

Just got one too!

Crossing my fingers that it won't interfere with any internal antennas or gizmos inside the body...

Fantastic, been waiting for this for a long time. Just ordered

That low strobe is going to be a nice feature.

Interesting, but wonder how this compares to there lume cubes that will last two hours at a 1/2 setting. So, a comparison would be interesting. Lume cubes are programmable and offer maybe more benefits.

These are much smaller (and lighter I would imagine). The original Lume Cubes are more for lighting an area/subject while flying. These are more comparable to Firehouse ARC’s or Strobon Crees used to be complaint with the FAA 3 mile visibility. The original 2 hour and 50% Lume Cubes and mounts add about 9 ounces of weight to the bird and will show decreased maneuverability and flight times. They are super fun to use at night however. Think of them as the spotlight on the Enterprise Mavic.

I'm looking forward to reading your evaluation. I have two Firehouse - 4 LED strobes (top and bottom)

I totally agree that these appear to be more "finished", though the price is a bit higher. The Firehouse price increased recently from $38 to $46 so it's not that much higher. The real question is which is brighter...lumen values are often exaggerated, so the best way to compare is to look at them side-by-side.

Ooo. Looking forward to hearing back about your experience,
Not going to interfere with anything under the nose of the mav 2 where they have it mounted?

I would agree that these definitely look more finished and overall nicer than the Firehouse or Strobon LED's that are currently available. I have original Lume Cubes to fly around at night with and single LED Strobob Cree's so am not in a real hurry to get these, but they do look good. There was a post on these a couple weeks ago and I just assumed they would be a little smaller but didn't realize they had 4 LEDs in each. Curious to the reviews. Keep us posted!!

Interesting, but wonder how this compares to there lume cubes.

One has nothing to do with the other:

The cubes are designed to lit up the ground. They are great in low light, and can be used to lit up a landscape, while you take a picture with a DSLR on a tripod, as an example...

The strobes are complying with FAA light requirements.

Didn't realize there was a price increase on the Arc II's - this makes the Lume Strobes even more attractive.

I'll definitely compare the Lume Strobe to the Arc II's. I have white, red and green ARC II's so I'll be able to test all colors vs the Lume w/ color filters.

The fact that it is weatherproof will allow us to fly it in the RAIN !
This is fantastic , let alone switching drones with ease .

I have 4 strobes (2 white, 1 green, 1 red) on my drones attached with velcro . . . simples, yet effective, ok they have only one strobe setting but I can live with that.

I wonder how much the lens diffuses the light? My white Arc II's are very bright making them useful in brighter sunlight. Also the Lume strobe case does look large and I couldn't install them on my MP in a couple the spots I have Arc II's mounted. The Arc II's have a strobe setting, a flash mode and a constant on setting. I doubt I'd use the low strobe setting that the Lume Cube has but they do look more professional.

Sticking with my strobons and firehouse lights.
Don’t really care about how they look. From four hundred feet up and thousand feet out, most people aren’t going to see how the light itself is made.
Me2. Also for visibility one of these new light will likely need to be on the bottom, check ground clearance, and one will new to be on the top of the drone also.
Good looking light, but I’ll stay with my ARC2s as they also give me visual confirmation of my drone’s orientation.
