About three minutes after powering up the drone, the cooling fan comes on. Is this normal?
I’m inside the house reviewing settings with a Youtube video with the drone connected to the controller and the room temp is about 68 deg.
From what I can decipher from posts on the forum, this is normal to keep the motherboard cool, can anyone confirm?

Yes. That is normal.

its also a good idea to have a desk type fan blowing over the drone to help keep it cool ,and also when the batteries are being charged, have it blowing over them and the charging brick

Anytime I have the drone powered up in the house for the purpose of playing with settings, I have a small desk fan blowing on the drone.

I would like to think this helps a bit with keeping it cool.

Stay safe!
beat me to it

Thanks for your quick response, I won’t have to return the drone!

Well, be sure to return it to the sky. That is really the only time these little critters are truly happy..?
