Madness! DJI Drone Ban Passes in U.S. House.

Many many posts already on this. If I read the section of the bill that pertains to DJI, the ban applies only to Federal and Federally funded agencies, and even those have exceptions. It does not apply to citizens nor does it forbid DJI from selling to the public. This whole affair appears to be a "Chicken Little" scenario.

So the following is untrue?:

“The legislation proposes adding DJI to a list maintained by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) under the Secure and Trusted Communications Networks Act of 2019. This would block DJI’s drones from running on communications infrastructure in the U.S., according to “The New York Times,” effectively rendering them unusable.”

It does not apply to citizens nor does it forbid DJI from selling to the public.
You are correct. There are no bills anywhere that forbid DJI from selling their product to American citizens and there are no bills anywhere that prohibit American citizens from buying DJI drones. As you already know, any bill which contains such language would never pass. Regardless, Congress has no power to order those actions.

This is just some of the situation as it is being told to the American public:

I have decided not to worry about all this crap on DJI, I'm moving on to enjoy flying my drones and making some cash. I have made up my mind years ago that the only purpose of government is to make me miserable.

Well they tried it with alcohol and look how that turned out! 😁

Interesting - yet another totally biased news report there. RSE Ventures, according to Matt Higgins, does not even compete with DJI.

Some possible positive advancement of the case for keeping DJI ?

Solid as this seems I remain a long way from convinced that the proponents / supporters of the ban listen to reason / evidence. But at least this latest audit was done by an American company so surely it MUST count for something as evidence that DJI are not up to anything nefarious...
