Mapping with the Super Zoom feature:

Hi everyone. I am new here but I believe that notwithstanding, I will be able to get the information I badly need. I have a mavic 2 zoom which I intend to use for mapping a large area for a 2D map. Now, I was wondering how the superzoom feature can help me do the work in shorter time and at a height of up to 1km per shot. I have special permission to fly that high for very short periods of time and will make use of it. But just to ask, is there a special app which makes this possible, whereby the drone at that height, takes the shots at one location in Superzoom mode and then moves on to a secondary point and does the same again and again before coming down for the battery swapping? Has anyone use the superzoom imagery for mapping? Kindly share your experiwnces pilots! Thank you

Just a quick note, the maximum hard coded height limit is 500 Meters above your home point elevation for Mavic 2.

Ok. In that case, I still got some almost 1km wide swath per shot, but pray, how do I make the SuperZoom function work out continously to give me the 48MP picture or does it only work in panorama?

Not sure about superzoom or Mavic 2, but DroneHarony will allow you to define the area you wish to map, the height to fly and the overlap of photos. It will fly the mission, including battery changes and take photos as per settings.

Forget your superzoom ability and flying super high.
It's not how you do mapping missions.
Go and look at DroneDeploy and find out how drone mapping is carried out these days.
There are several similar mapping apps.
