I was thinking around those lines but I do not think the on board GPS is accurate enough to make it a valid tool in surveying.

that honeycomb filter is interesting. usually seen on sniper rifles to eliminate any sun reflections on the glass cover.

I think bunny is right, that top one when you zoom in looks identical to a strobe light. The bottom one is puzzling, but look up close and it really looks like a speaker cone. Or all this is great fake job!!

I could see a use case for a corporate security group to fly a drone on their perimeter and audibly warn people not to trespass, etc. over an attached speaker. Or in search and rescue to alert victims that help is on the way...

It is used on rifle scopes but it primary use is to prevent an illuminated reticle or lens flash from being seen by the enemy or electronic countermeasures. The honeycomb converts the lens into a series of very small apertures and reduces reflection, lens flash or illumination from being picked up unless you are directly, precisely in line with the aperture.

Yes, that is the title of the thread, it is a different model (supposedly) than the Mavic two.
