Mavic 2 Zoom Surging Forward During Active Track

Has anyone else noticed this behavior? I have used Active Track several times now to follow a subject. Each time, the drone will start following, catch up to the subject, stop, catch up to the subject, stop, etc. It will repeat this over and over again. It surges forward, stops and then surges forward again. The final video does not look very smooth or professional. Below is an example. Let me know what you think.

Active shot is confused. I had a similar experience. I used active shot on my two year old walking in a big field. My wife joined her and then walked away. The active track box went around both of them and when my wife walked away from the baby the drone followed her instead of the baby with the active track box on my wife. Active track can be confused fairly easily.

Active track can be confused easily with groups of a similar nature.

I have the same issue. In my case m2z would do this while following a single object.

I hope dji will get this sorted assuming this can be fixed with soft upgrade

I’m not sure what changed, but my M2z works perfectly now in Follow-me mode.
