I have the M3 classic with dji RC-controller. Is this setup compatible with the goggles 3?
Or do I need the RC pro controller or Motion 3 controller?

The M3 classic is not compatible with Motion 3 controller.

For now, the only FPV equipment you can use is Goggles 2, Googles Integra, and Motion Controller 2.

O3/O4 issue. Unlikely to happen.

The A3 and M4P were able the work with the older goggles because they can do both. While it's probably possible to reprogram the SDR in the M3 line to do O4 protocol, DJI's track record in this regard would indicate "no", as the M3x is getting pretty long in the tooth, and the Mavic 4 is probably pretty close.
