Mavic 4 not available to US !

DJI wouldn't release this in the US even without Tariffs. They simply can't get it delivered here. They are still in a mess with the Air 3 and at one point weren't taking orders from NJ and many other states. I said a year ago DJI done in the US...If it's a tariff thing why would they penalize you from buying in another country and bringing the drone to US?

I am not sure they are waiting for tomorrow. According to this article they have not sent review samples to US entities

Review samples have $0 formal commercial value so they would not be impacted by tariffs (I think). I think I am tired of winning.
Well then how did US Reviewers get drone in Hand? Originaldobo for one has one. 51 Drones has one..ha

Those were the exact two I thought about first. Looks like Eddie Nunez may have actually bought one here in the US, how?

No question it is a hit to DJI's bottom line. But who can blame them. All this BS is out of their control as well. There are consequences to starting a trade war.

If your IP is outside the US, the DJI website looks like this:

Yep. There are consequences to starting a trade war. , I didn't start it, I didn't vote for it. I do not agree with it. But like everyone else in the USA I am stuck until something changes.

It affects me as I do photography for a living but I also can’t stand this place and feel it is well deserved.

In the past 4 years I have traveled to and lived in another country for 1-2 months seeking out where to re-locate to as I create new work.

I applaud DJI for this move.
You could always move to China. They have a track record of putting their citizens first.

OMG !!!! The Sky has fallen.

anyway, who's enjoying the baseball season so far ?

Enjoy the Drone(s) you have, save up until this mess gets resolved.

Nah, I have a few places in mind that are truly great countries.

When leadership and tens of millions of drool-on-chin imbeciles play stupid games with a world they help to create, they get stupid prizes.

A place in Northern Europe that I have relatives in. I pledge no allegiance to any country, I'm a global citizen, I was atop a 6000M peak in the Himalaya on election day. I love my life here in the Colorado high country, but I have just about had it with every other aspect and life is just too darn short for that kind of thing.

They are probably waiting until they figure out the US pricing after tariffs are significantly decreased tomorrow.
A fact sheet from the White House website!!?? 😂😂😂 That's about as dependable as an I.O.U. from a crack head. This is not a historic deal, you don't get to just start a major trade war for no reason, then change your mind, then start the trade war again, then put it on pause, that escalate even more, then meet with country you started the trade war with, end up back at square one before you started said trade war, and then claim a huge accomplishment.

The damage is already done, the last pre-tariff cargo ship ported in California a week ago, last Monday. Even if Trump and Xi would have finalized a deal last Tuesday, it would have been at least a couple months before things got even remotely close to back to normal. We will start seeing mass empty shelves by the end of next week, and many businesses won't be able to survive for 2-3 months with no imports coming in from China. That's not even talking about the recession we'll be in by summer, and many experts are talking stagflation if headed our way.

Did they give any indication of when it would ship?
they don't know as it now sounds like with the new DJI announcement it may have been a waste of time as I called them just after I preordered. They told me there is no date that they expect to receive them.

Just as I predicted, not available on launch day in the US. To me, that means the Mavic 4 Pro is yet another spoiled DJI launch, not a disaster but not very good either. There could be many reasons from tariffs to customs but either way, this could have been *planned* to soften to blow rather than just a big unknown which is worse. DJI should issue a press release so there are not a lot of questions or people don't "go to Canada" or get creative (if they don't have to).
Why should DJI cater to us, I don't blame them one bit for not selling them in the U.S. even if trump backs off on the tariffs there's no promise that DJI will want to even bother going through the hassle.

It's also not a "failed launch", they were available for the rest of the world just fine, there's already reviews of the Mavic 4 Pro on youtube already. And who said they didn't settle on a price??

I wouldn't hold your breath for them to get anything in for at least a couple months, if ever, that goes for a lot of products. I wouldn't even count on DJI being around much longer, unless someone buys them out and moves them out of China before they collapse.

They might have sent it to those content creators a couple weeks ago, the last pre-tariff cargo ship from China pulled into port in California a week ago on Monday. I know on Russ's review, from51 Drones, he said he'd been flying it for weeks.

When I add the creator to cart at BH, I see the tax as $434.68 which brings the total closer to $5100 but I would use a Payboo card so BH can pay the tax. I'll pass for now,
Why waste your time, B&H is NOT going to get any shipped to them, it wont' be long until we won't be able to get anything from DJI.

I didn't say it was a failed launch, I said spoiled launch. What if Trump lifts all tariffs tomorrow and no issues at customs, guess what? DJI is in a pickle because they wouldn't be ready. At a minimum they need to make a statement so one of their biggest markets can react properly. If DJI is in the dark, why keep customers in the dark as well? They've had plenty of time to make up their mind about certain things and if it's just a day or two on tariffs, they should have launched in the US at regular prices and ate a few days of tariffs or work in a few delays. If it's customs, they should have worked those out with the US government by now, how long has it been? Not saying it's their fault but DJI can't count this as a successful, perfect launch. They can't even answer the question if the Mavic 4 Pro will *ever* be launched in American one day in the future, can they? Yet they sent drones to YTers for review. I get it they have to be careful what they say but they could have gotten creative on this one, it's not like they didn't have time to figure it out. Maybe they're working on a different kit for the US market. I would have created a large, elaborate pre-order scheme for US customers with special pricing and a big coming soon sign rather than a big fat no-show.
