Mavic 4 Pro - a couple of questions

Hi, just got my new Mavic 4 Pro. Really excited. But I got a couple of questions.
1) Is it normal for the M4P to shake/vibrate upon startup (propellers start spinning). It goes away once it reached idle rpm.

2) During hovering, there seems to be a "ringing" sound accompanying the propellers' sound. Anyone experienced this?

Thanks !!

You probably need to straighten out the propellers from their folded positions. I know they’ll straighten as the motors spin up but the shaking is evidence of the unneeded extra physical load that not straightening puts on the hubs and pins.
On the ringing, no idea. Mini 5 pro has a high pitched whine at idle but then goes quieter/lower pitch than mini 4 pro in flight.

Concur.
Unfold the props before arming the motors.

Thanks a ton...it's most logical given the propellers of the M4P is huge.
Will try that out in my next flight and cease being lazy or in hurry to start without unfolding.

I’ve flown a number of Mavic 4 Pro’s. I own two. The mild ringing at hover is normal and consistent. The original Mavic also made the same sound.

I see you only have couple of posts so maybe you’re new to drone flying. Us older guys who by necessity developed methodical check lists years ago, when drones were less reliable, might add ”unfold propellors” to a novice checklist. Becomes second nature after while. But also reminds you to confirm the props are attached correctly, not chipped or cracked. A damaged propellor can be very expensive.

Folded propellers upon spin up can also lead to the drone falling off its perch, depending upon where you are launching from. It's like a wet dog shaking himself dry!
