Mavic 4 video playback in VLC is lagging

Hi good people

I just got my Mavic 4 pro creator combo. When wanting to playback the video files on my PC, I have previously used VLC player. But even as the computer is a beast with fast 4x4 TB M.2 in Raid 0, RTX 4090, i9-14900K, and 256 GB Ram, the video file laggs a lot. I assume it's the codec, but there is so much shady software, I was thinking it's better to ask here before I download anything. Any advice?

Your system has much more power and resources than mine. I use GOM player and it runs smooth. I just ran it through VLC player also with smooth playback. So it may be something else than the player. I have CODEC automatically checked and update it whenever a new version comes out.

Thank you. Im now at home and has about the same PC but with 5090 and somewhat more powerfull cpu. It still tend tolagg but I downloaded the MPC-HC player and it plays it perfect. I will try out GOM player. Thank you for taking the time to reply. Have a great weekend.

I tried it, and it looks like it will work, but the main version did not support 6K video. Im sure it will in the payed version, so will test some more.
I basically have the high-end cards for VFX and video editing for commercial use. Well, that and playing games like World of Tanks that give me 400 FPS (I limited it to 200) on my Samsung 49" monitor. Such an overkill

Yes, I use a 49" with a 34" on top. Also have the same 49" here at home, and it's fine. Still have not found the reason for the lagg but got the MPC-HC player to work fine. It also works fine inside Premiere and After Effects.
