Hey guys need help! 3 weeks old mavic air 2 was flying proper one day the next day it will not connect to my controller and the drone fan is always on after start up, no LEDs blinking. Will not connect to dpi assistant either. Managed to update the controller firmware via assistant but the drown cannot connect. Help please.

Return and get a new one while you still can. Otherwise contact DJI service for warranty work.

if you can’t connect with the remote or Assistant then it’s bricked.

Thank you. In the process now to get that ball rolling on returning it and getting a new one. Just learned today that this term is called "DOA

Well might as well be dead on arrival. Better to return it to the retailer and just get a brand new one if you can.

Try different cables to connect to the PC, apparently the DJI one used to charge works

Would changing cables still work if I do not get the proper response of normal boot up sequence from the drone?

Not sure if it would connect to the PC but you could always just try it before returning it, the fan going on/ propeller movement suggests the AC is on.
Was there anything that happened since the last normal flight, did you do a firmware upgrade which failed or was interrupted, was there crash damage ?
I assume the AC does this with every battery you have.

I was at a different county with some flight height restriction along with if I remember correctly disconnected visual something...other than that I managed to shoot a video. Put it away and the next morning bricked.
This flight was before I upgraded it to the latest firmware. I was able to upgrade the firmware of the rc thru assistant but the drone itself cannot be read both by the laptop and the rc.

Remove and reformat the SD card

I will try it. Mind explaining the possible connection of the SD card to the boot up start up sequence of the drone?

it only been a couple of days and i already miss flying my drone. really sad and depressing looking at it every time knowing that i can't fly it ~ addicted :(

Have you tried re-linking the drone to the controller.
In camera view, tap on the 3 dots in top right of your screen. Then select control. In the drop down list you'll find a bit that says link or pair aircraft with controller. You then press and hold the power button on the drone for 4 seconds. It should beep, iff it links.
