In order to be able to log in to your DJI account in either the GO4 or FLY app your device needs to be connected... once logged in you can proceed flying off-line & still be considered to be logged in by the app, you don't need to be on-line all the time.

If you log out when your device is off-line you can't log in again & will face the height and distance restrictions until you can get on-line & log in again.

Thanks - good to know. Begs the question why would you ever want to log out. But my use case is probably different: I'm using a dedicated smart controller.

The OP uninstalled & re-installed the app & didn't log in, once he noticed he was off-line.

1. I am in a foreign country doing this so no phone service or internet. Could not log into my account.
2. GPS signal was locked at startup and homepoint set.
3. It would not let me reset a new homepoint.
4. When the battery ran low, it returned to the homepoint it set which was then 20 meters from where i jumped in and tried to swim to it.

The first thing I do when I touch down in a foreign country is go buy a cheap sim card with some data.
