Hi, thought I would post my recent experience which might be some help to others.
I had not used my Mavic Air for a couple of years. After switching on, connecting, and completing the requested compass and IMU calibration I noticed that it was flying very slowly, battery lasted only approximately 10 minutes, and when RTH was pressed it just continued to ascend.
After some internet searching it was considered the latter problem was due to some fault with obstacle detection. It also made sense that the slow flight might also be caused by this. I was able to confirm this to some extent by then noting that the detection radar graphic in DJIGO4 was showing obstacles front and rear even though there were none. At this point I switched off detection for both normal and RTH flight, and the flight speed returned to normal although it still only ascended when RTH was pressed.
However, after replacing the drone battery and switching obstacle detection back on (not sure in which order I did that), flight speed remained normal, battery life was 20+ minutes, and RTH perfect.
Incidentally, when I was considering that I might have to re-calibrate the “vision” cameras, I tried to follow the official Mavic Air instruction to use DJIGO4 tap through “Aircraft Status” >”Vision Sensors” to start quick calibration. But could not find any such setting in the App..
